Evie Marheineke, a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High in California, won the gold section of the girls 3,200 meters in 11:02.95 at the West Coast Relays at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Marheineke also secured sixth place in the gold section of the 1,600 meters in 4:56.10.
